Since it’s founding in 1893, Alpha Xi Delta has developed into a progressive organization dedicated to the personal growth of women and enriching their lives through sisterhood, leadership, knowledge and service. The mission and vision of Alpha Xi Delta function to positively steer the organization and the women who embody its ideals.

The Sticky Wicket

Alpha Xi Delta knew it needed a refreshed brand identity to bolster pride in the sisterhood on a local and national level. While the mission and symbolism of the organization have not changed, a refreshed identity would reflect that Alpha Xi Delta is keeping up with current trends in today’s Greek community even as it prepares to celebrate 125 years of sisterhood and service.

The Awesome Sauce

  • The quill symbol was redesigned exclusively for Alpha Xi Delta to display a more realistic a quill pen, recognizing the organization’s open motto: “The Pen is Mightier than the Sword.” The placement of the quill at the end of the word “Delta” depicts handwriting, further emphasizing the open motto.
  • A secondary color palette and supporting patterns were created to enhance marketing and communication materials across all levels of the organization and build a cohesive brand identity.
  • The brand was unveiled at the Alpha Xi Delta National Convention in Chicago in July 2017. The announcement perfectly matched the theme of the event: “Reaching Magnificent Milestones.”
