The mission Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity is to “Build Balanced Men” through the principles of virtue, diligence and brotherly love. In SigEp’s 115 years of existence, it has established a strong brand, fully defined educational programs, an alumni tradition and a variety of other critical characteristics that ensure its longevity and growth.

The Sticky Wicket

The Sigma Phi Epsilon Grand Chapter Conclave is the venue for important fraternal business, including educational sessions, individual and chapter awards and the election of the fraternity leadership. The mission of the conclave is to empower brothers to engage in conversations about building balanced men and solidifying its future as a valued partner in higher education. The fraternity already had a powerful “Heroes” theme for this year’s 55th Grand Chapter Conclave but needed to bring the theme to life through the conclave brand and supporting materials. SigEp wanted the theme to encourage brothers to become champions of change to alter the perception of what it means to be a fraternity man.

The Awesome Sauce

  • Through conclave marketing materials, SigEp can preserve its history while simultaneously leading the way into the future — two important factors for ensuring the organization stays relevant and remains a powerhouse in the North-American Interfraternity Conference.
  • A simple “SigEp Heroes” logo allowed attendees to create their own definition of what it means to be a hero rather than dictating what it means.
  • A supporting grid pattern incorporated the fraternity brand and important conclave information. This grid was used throughout all conclave materials to create a cohesive conference appearance.
  • The brand seamlessly translated to all supporting design materials, including banners, signage, programs and centerpieces.
