The Client

Zeta Beta Tau (ZBT), founded in 1898, is the world’s first Jewish fraternity, and its mission is to foster and develop the tenets of Intellectual Awareness, Social Responsibility, Integrity and Brotherly Love within their brotherhood. The organization’s goal is to prepare men for positions of service and leadership within their communities.

The Sticky Wicket

From a technology standpoint, the Fraternity has established itself as an innovator in digital communications, creating the Digital Deltan, one of the first digital-only magazines in the Greek community. Throughout the years, Zeta Beta Tau has made strides in enhancing its marketing, redesigning and developing the Digital Deltan to be mobile friendly and offering a full suite of online options to ensure members could interact with the organization wherever and whenever. However, in so doing, they hadn’t revisited their main national website, and, while the information contained within the site was regularly updated, the design and technology of the site itself were not up to responsive standards.

The Awesome Sauce

Having successfully partnered together on the design and development of the new Digital Deltan site, Zeta Beta Tau hired R&R to help redesign and develop their national website. Through information architecture and design, we worked to create a user experience that every constituent group felt comfortable navigating. A focus has helped improve the distribution of ZBT information. Development-wise, the site was built in WordPress, following best practices for mobile responsive programming and ensuring a seamless back-end framework for the client to easily update as needed.

"I chose Rhyme & Reason Design because their work is very diverse and has a lot of energy, and they did not disappoint. Our new international website is eye-catching, modern, yet true to our brand tradition."

- Andrea Smithson Benek, Director of Communications
