Gilmer County Chamber

Gilmer County Chamber has worked tirelessly to promote the Gilmer, Georgia area. Since 1978, the organization has welcomed visitors and newcomers, fostered a strong economic base, encouraged the expansion of well-planned business and enhanced the community’s overall quality of life. Additionally, it was one of the first chambers to be designated as a Georgia Certified Chamber of Commerce.

Gilmer County Chamber of Commerce reached out to R&R in mid-2021 to discuss a complete redesign and build of their chamber and tourism website. The site was not mobile responsive, nor was it using a CMS that was easily managed by the Chamber staff. Not to mention it also lacked clear paths for the two distinct target markets – chamber members/prospects and tourism visitors – to follow.

• The fully-responsive, custom WordPress site was created to allow the Chamber staff complete control and management of the site – ensuring it could grow and evolve alongside the community.
• The front-end was designed to be as visually appealing as the real-life Gilmer County.
• Navigation flow was intentionally planned to assist the two distinct audiences to self-select and explore curated content more easily.
• In February of 2023, the site won the Georgia Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus’s Paul Braun Award for Marketing Initiatives (budget over $1 million)
