Hi all! I’m Karen McKenzie and I’m lucky enough to be both the Co-Founder and Creative Director at Rhyme & Reason Design.

As a graduate of the University of Florida’s Graphic Design program, I learned to perfect the Gator Chomp while honing my design skills and have worked diligently over the last (almost) decade with my co-founder Scarlett to build a company that reflects the fun, creative and collaborative environment that helps designers thrive. I consider building brand champions through beautiful designs and smart ideas my passion.

When I’m not designing, catch me on the BeltLine with my husband Ben and mini-me Charlotte, eating cupcakes or donning a wig from my extensive costume collection.

Fun Facts:

• I love traveling and have been to 33 countries and 5 out of 7 continents. Next destination to be determined, suggestions welcome.
• I love a physical challenge. I have walked 550 miles across Spain on the Camino de Santiago, climbed to the top of Half Dome in Yosemite and completed a Half Ironman (which makes me only half crazy).
• I love Halloween and have several large Tupperware containers dedicated to costumes, wigs and ‘merica swag.
