Since 1981, the Delta Tau Delta Educational Foundation has actively followed its mission to raise, manage and grant funds for the benefit of the educational and leadership programs of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. Through this partnership, both the Fraternity and Foundation have helped shape the lives of men who have aided in the Founders’ desires of creating men who value truth, courage, faith and power.

The Sticky Wicket

Looking to build a fundraising campaign that would resonate with members from every generation, the Delta Tau Delta Educational Foundation required a strong, cohesive brand that would bring awareness and foster engagement with both current and potential donors. In order to do this, a campaign name, logomark and complete launch experience needed to be developed and brought to life. The aim of this campaign was to inspire brothers to connect to a purpose bigger than themselves, where they could envision a future of their own making as well as forge a strong and bright tomorrow for Delta Tau Delta.

The Awesome Sauce

Well-thought-out ideas led to the creation of the campaign name, Forging the Future, the development of a brand and complementary “silent phase” assets in 2020. At the beginning of 2022, Delt needed to prepare to publicly launch the campaign where members would be gathering, Delta Tau Delta’s bi-annual conference, Karnea.

The Forging the Future campaign launched August 3, 2022. Campaign materials were woven into the event and through the months leading up to it, working to ignite awareness of the Foundation’s mission and vision while serving as a reminder to donors that together they are investing in the future of Delta Tau Delta.

To build a successful launch that would resonate with Karnea attendees, branding seamlessly translated to all supporting design materials. These included a microsite, display booths, signage, social media elements, a launch video and more, all of which worked together to create a cohesive experience throughout the launch of the Forging the Future campaign and beyond.

At its closing, the campaign raised $30 million in committed gifts, surpassing its $25 million goal.
