Henry Has Long-Lasting Partnerships
Since ushering in a new brand aesthetic for Henry County Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) back in 2020, we’ve had the pleasure of partnering with them again on the continued build-out of that brand. And together, we have built. A lot. From print and digital ads to van wraps and massive experiential displays, we’ve crafted an extremely comprehensive marketing experience.
The Exploration Begins
The smart ideas and beautiful designs started in 2019 when we were hired by the CVB to develop a new tagline, logo, business system, visitors guide template and ad campaign. Since then, the creative has expanded to connect with visitors around the drive market.
The “Henry Has ___” ad campaign helps to establish a playful sense of place and a welcoming persona through hand-lettered city and county headline text, illustrative iconography, striking photography and quirky copy.
Mobile Visitor’s Center
As a county-wide CVB representing four unique cities and with a growing list of things to do, it became increasingly necessary to find a way to be in more places than the CVB’s brick-and-mortar building allowed. The solution? A Mobile Visitor’s Center. And not just any mobile experience, one that was intentionally planned, thoughtfully branded and creatively managed.
With the concept fleshed out by the CVB team, our job was to bring the Visit Henry brand to life through a fully custom van wrap (exterior and interior back doors), t-shirt designs (volunteer and giveaway versions) and out-of-van signage. The result was an ever-present brand awareness campaign for the whole county to enjoy.
Atlanta Motor Speedway Experience
In late 2023, the Henry County CVB signed on to partner with Atlanta Motor Speedway throughout their 2024 season. The agreement entitled the CVB to have their ads and marketing materials displayed all over the facility, including in the concourse, restrooms, Club One, Media Center, Ballroom, elevators, track signage, entry gates and shuttles. In short, the CVB had a big opportunity to make a splash and build greater brand awareness in market and beyond.
Race-Ready Designs
Knowing that a cohesive experiential presence was needed, our team took a field trip to the Speedway to get a complete understanding of how each piece of creative would be seen and experienced. From there, we began concepting a complete visual package that included designs for a crash wall, elevator wraps, mirror clings, concourse posters, billboards and more.
With a goal of connecting the overarching brand and educating Speedway-goers on the county-wide offerings, we created materials that combined the look of the ad campaign with the Mobile Visitor’s Center design.
The Results
For the team at Henry County CVB, the Mobile Visitor’s Center has been a game-changer. Whether they are making an appearance at small events, gearing up for big experiences like Atlanta Motor Speedway or simply cruising down the road, the van is incredibly effective at driving awareness for the county as a whole. Since rolling it out in early 2023, the CVB has had a presence at more than 100 events, and more than 40 community champions have volunteered to represent the organization at these events.
The physical aspect of the van has enhanced perceptions of the CVB as a sophisticated, professional and trusted community resource. However, the connection to the target market goes even further when the audience is able to see the greater Visit Henry branded experience consistently threaded through each communication component, from the doodles on the in-market activation and social stories to the fonts and styles on ads and guides.
Overall, the Mobile Visitor Center and the AMS take-over have worked in concert to educate the locals and drive markets, while continuing to seamlessly marry the city-specific identities under the greater Visit Henry County, GA brand in a functional and attractive way that adds to the core brand and strategic goals.
