Lace up your sneakers this Saturday for PNC’s Miles for Moffitt

As many of you know, we have had the amazing opportunity to work with Moffitt Cancer Center on their social media efforts. Although the fan page applications are not quite ready to make their grand debut, we have been able to showcase the timeline graphics for the Moffitt Cancer Center general page and the Miles For Moffitt event page.

Since launching the Moffitt general page timeline, the hospital has seen their fan base eclipse the 5,000 mark, a feat they have been patiently waiting to happen for sometime. Not only are they acquiring new “likes” daily, but the engagement levels have grown exponentially, with nearly every post receiving likes, comments and shares.

Miles for Moffitt, the PNC Bank sponsored road race also has a live Facebook timeline. Although they have not tipped the scales at 5,000 likes, they are extremely active and are extremely well loved by runners and community members alike. The 7th annual race will take place this Saturday (as in tomorrow) at the USF Sun Dome. Anyone can participate and you can walk, run or wheel your way through a 5k, 5-mile, one mile, wheelchair 5 mile or kid dash. All proceeds and donations benefit Moffitt Cancer Center research. Don’t worry if you haven’t registered to make strides for this great cause, late registration is still open until 7am tomorrow morning.

Sadly, my sneakers won’t be hitting the pavement at the Sun Dome this weekend as the FCA Conference in Atlanta is keeping Georgia on my mind and under my feet. However, I did sign up to be a virtual runner and you should too if you can’t make an appearance in Tampa.
