Way Down Yonder

On the Chattahoochee, you’ll discover Alan Jackson’s hometown and so much more. The history of Coweta County is long, but we’ll keep the details short. The community came to be in 1825 and got their name in 1826. Since then, their 446 square miles of southern ground have witnessed everything from Civil War to Civil Rights. They’ve had the chance to heal the sick, honor the fallen, change perceptions, hear legal proceedings, build a future, mourn the past and in 2021 create an official Convention and Visitors Bureau to lean into their hospitality – feeding hopes, raising a drink to dreams and serving up plenty of stories.

R&R Did What?

Created designs that were hotter than the hoochie coochie, including stickers that say just that. In 2022, after Explore Newnan Coweta completed their branding process, they reached out to R&R to build out their comprehensive marketing experience. Beginning with copywriting and design for their inaugural visitors guide and continuing through today with the creation of sub-brands, eblasts, print and digital ads, sales materials, social media content, placemaking signage and more.

Creating Curiosity on Social

From organic posts to paid media, Explore Newnan Coweta has found clever ways to pique curiosity and increase impressions. During the last year, the destination received more than 17.3 million impressions and 145.6 thousand clicks for their paid media efforts. Combined with seasonal campaign pushes, they were able to drive greater awareness among their top 11 target markets during slower travel times. Ultimately, social media is moving the needle on quality site traffic and in-person visitation.

Swag to Show Off

Who doesn’t love a good piece of swag? Explore Newnan Coweta discovered that the fastest way to people’s hearts is actually through giveaways. Ranging from the standard fare of pens and sunglasses to the more curious, such as Alan Jackson waterskiing on coasters and “Hotter than a Hoochie Coochie” hats, these goodies are in high demand.

Crafted in Coweta

There are a plethora of incredible makers and bakers, crafters and creatives working hard to develop small-batch, high-quality goods in Coweta County. Knowing this, the CVB wanted to give the locals their flowers and help promote their wares. Thus, Curiously Crafted in Coweta was born – a sub brand of Explore Newnan Coweta that makes it easier to highlight the people, places and things created in the community.

Client Love

"There was never any question in my mind as to what agency I would choose to manage our newly created brand. From day one they have been incredibly intentional in every aspect of strategy, content creation and design. I never have to worry that a deadline or expectations will be met (they are always exceeded). Our brand is elevated every day because of the uber talented creatives at Rhyme & Reason Design and I am so thankful to have them as part of my team!"
