The Sticky Wicket

Clayton County was looking to re-position themselves as more than simply Atlanta’s True South. A new brand identity provided the opportunity to capitalize on the existing community pride and to expand beyond the established limiting reputation of where the cinema classic “Gone with the Wind” was filmed. In order to generate greater awareness across target markets, Clayton County recognized the need for a refreshed brand and web presence that would help tell the story of all there is to see in Clayton County, enhancing the county’s attraction as a desirable destination and increasing the number of residents, visitors and businesses coming to the area.

The Awesome Sauce

  • The new brand and tagline provided the tools needed to share the modern and authentic version of Clayton County while not abandoning its storied past.
  • Paired with a new aesthetic evoking timeless elegance, the tourism office newly renamed as “See Clayton County” positioned themselves as the go-to resource for all things to do in Clayton County.
  • “Open to the World” reminds visitors that as the home of the world’s busiest airport, Clayton County is one of those places where the world is always welcome.
