Hi, I’m Emily, and I’m thrilled to join Rhyme & Reason Design as a Senior Designer. I’m originally from St. Louis, Missouri and currently live in Atlanta with my husband and dog, Shrimp. I graduated from Tufts University with a degree in Art History and the School of Visual Arts with an MFA in Design. I draw upon my background in art history, architecture and gallery work to inform my creative approach. In graduate school, I developed a strong appreciation and aptitude for design thinking. As a result, I’m able to distill complex ideas into clear and compelling design concepts.
I’m a careful observer and thoughtful listener, and take special care in recognizing clients’ needs and bringing them to life through design. I’ve sought out varied work to ensure that I am a well-rounded designer, but I’m especially passionate about illustration, branding and animation. I’m excited to join a team that values smart design and also understands the power of a whimsical illustration.
- My dog has his own logo, which doubles as our family crest.
- I love wooden roller coasters. My favorite is the Cyclone in Coney Island.
- My family has an ongoing race to go to all 50 states. My dad won years ago, but I’m at 46, and second place is still open!
